Dear Friends
As
you are aware, Imamia Medics International has established
a chain of clinics in different parts of the world. These
clinics provide free healthcare to the underprivileged, uninsured
and underinsured Momineen.
Presently,
IMI is running two independent clinics in India – in
Hyderabad (Deccan) and Aligarh (UP). These clinics are treating
about 100 patients a day, six days a week. Similar clinics
in Abbastown (Karachi) and Gilgit have been established in
Pakistan through IMI’s support. Together, IMI’s
clinics are helping over 2000 Momineen every week:
•
Infants and children are receiving vaccinations;
• Expectant mothers are
getting iron and vitamins;
• Elderly population is
being given diabetes and hypertension care;
• Education is being provided
in health and hygiene; and
• Preventive measures are
being adopted against infections.
The community as a whole is saving thousands of dollars in
lost wages and disabilities. After
visiting our projects and appreciating their commitment, WHO;
CDC and the local governments have partnered with IMI clinics
for Polio vaccinations and Tuberculosis treatment centers.
All this indicates the amount of hard work and dedication
that is being put into these projects.
Even
in the United States, there are a large number of families
in the community that are either uninsured or underinsured.
Many of them have just one person working for the entire family,
and also supporting their relatives back home. When these
families are not able to buy proper health insurance you can
imagine how difficult it is for them to lose wages due to
illness. Every single day without work is a new challenge
that they struggle to cope with; and without insurance, the
cost of healthcare is definitely beyond their reach. To help
this section of the community, IMI has established its first
Get Well Clinic in New Jersey. The Clinic runs every other
Saturday and highly qualified physicians from the community
see the patients free of cost. Qualified nurses, technicians
and an office manager are also there to provide professional
services. It provides free consultations, free medicines and
subsidized investigations to the uninsured and underinsured
population of the community.
To
make all this possible, IMI has received help from people
like you who invest in the health of the community because
good health bring progress and prosperity. IMI urgently needs
your support to run these vital projects.
We
request you to help IMI in giving shape to a healthy and prosperous
community by making generous donations and also by asking
your friends and colleagues to invest in these important projects.
Thanks
for your time…..
